An initiative of the Duchess of Cadaval and Prince of Orleans, was started in summer 2009, a new cycle of exhibitions of contemporary art in the Dukes of Cadaval Palace. Designed to promote contemporary art through dialogue between the works of artists and the space of the Palace, this program seeks to establish a new cultural center in the city of Evora.

«Throughout the summer of 2009, the Palace of the Dukes of Cadaval hosted an exhibition of three contemporary artists. This exhibition was a great success with the national population and with the tourists who, during three months, stroll through the streets of Evora. The concept of integration of modern paintings in the most ancient and majestic Palace of Évora undoubtedly pleased.

Stronger with this success, we wish to renew this experience during the summer of 2010. This year, we chose a young French artist, Guillaume Pelloux. His work is particularly interesting and deserves to be known. It is the first time that Guillaume Pelloux will expose his works outside the French borders.

We are confident in the success of this exhibition of three months that will seduce the general public, Portuguese and foreigners, who will visit Evora, but also the vast universe of Spanish and Portuguese art contemporary: amateurs, collectors, gallery owners and press.

With this summer exhibition of contemporary art, our goal is to promote artists and their work and offer a cultural diversity to the city of Evora.
